OK I am looking for a Family relations in Soham.
My Grt, Grandmother called Helen Christina Slack. b:1848
She married my  G, Grandfather Frederick Edwards of Peterborough in 1870, she died in 1917 after moving to live in Leicester.
Her father was a Fyson Wm. Slack b1821, whos father was a William Slack of Soham.
My late father was writing a book about his life, and his relatives, so if anyone can help.

Have been told that there is a Slack family down under in Australia.
Have pick up bits off the net and via Soham's online Chronicles, concerning my family being in Soham attending the Slack family events. EG Weddings, etc etc.
([g]Breaking news have made contact with them, and exchanged pictures; they are my second cousins if anyone has any updates please send me a message[g])smile/bigglasses.gif

Looking for Fyson's children, but only have found 3 as of now.
Louisa Sarah Slack married in 10 Feb 1886 to a John Slack Taylor.
Have a News paper report about the event and who attended.
Hope to be able to add more if anyone is interested in helping.

Recently have found out that around the 1850's there was a Typhoid and Cholera out break at Soham, this seems to have taken my GGGG Grandad Fyson William and his wife Elizabeth at the early ages of 34 and 32, luckiy his mother Sarah was still alive and took over looking after her grandchildren, any updates??

Looking for a good place in to stay in Cambridge; when I come up to carry out some family research, any suggestions? (None came)

One bit of good news, have been able to nearly complete the Slack F/T, even with the overseas lot, cor wizard,
Regards Tim Edwards.

Hi Julia, not heard from you lately or of Patrick Robson?

Been digging around the Fyson's again, and would love to hear from anyone who might have a Walter or a Elizabeth Fyson 1636-1700 in their family. (have a list of children they may have had)
Cheers Dorsetlad.

Have now traced my Fyson link back to the birth in 1687 Exning of a William Fyson, not only that but 5 pages of family tree later can say I have found a living family, and guess what they are living in a nearby town.
Still looking for that elusive male line, as all that seems living are females. Onwards and upwards.

Does any one on this site research the Westrope family.
Cheers Tim.
