I'm trying to locate the birth of my 2nd great-grandmother - Sophia Dalladay.  the challenge seems to be the multiple possibilities of the spelling of her surname.

The 1851 census shows her surname spelled as "Dalladey", 1861 "Dallidoy".

Her 1866 marriage certificiate shows her as "Dalladay"

The 1871 census shows her father as "William Dallidoy".


Her parents andgrandparents may be found on ancestry.co.uk - William Daladay & Mary Easy
Ancestry.co.uk lists her (in the 1851 census) as being born in 1833, but that she is age 11.
In 1851 an 11 year old would have been born in 1840.
However, the way the age is written looks like '1P', which (if you look at how 'the '8' in '28' shown in the top left hand corner  it could be an '8'.

I'd LOVE to track down her birth certificiate, so any help woulkd be appreciated.

With a bit more digging, I have found the family (minus Sophia) on the 1841 census, with the spelling of their surname as 'Dullity'.
This might also suggest that her birthdate of 1842/3 is correct.

This is what my research has also turned up up, however, finding a record of her birth is turning up a blank.

While in England, this August, I visited the Cambridge records office to look for her birth record, but again I found nothing.
