My wife's mother comes from a Peachey family line with roots in Soham. She said that she heard a story that if she was a Peachey from Cambridgeshire she was related to Lord Kitchener (Horatio Herbert 1850-1916). Other older members of the family apparently claimed that Kitchener was an "uncle". Does anybody have any more on this story?
